1. Get your journal and be ready to write.

2. Sing’anga The sing’anga is largely a local folk tale or myth. Why does William believe in the sing’anga so much? What makes the character so real? Choose a local myth or legend (Ghost story, monster, or bizarre story). Retell the story. What makes it believable? What takes away its credibility?

3. Personal Injustice Please describe a time in your life where you experienced personal injustice. Please describe it in detail (the emotions you felt, when it happened, what you want to change about it). You will not be sharing this with your classmates so feel free to be as personal as you want.

4. Personality Every hero/heroine has a distinct and interesting personality. Today you will start to build that personality. Choose five personality traits that will create the basis for your hero/heroine. After each trait write at least 2-3 sentences explaining why these traits are important your for hero/heroine. Be ready to share with the class.
