13 Funky Terms in Office Two terms was just a president until Franklin Delano Roosevelt (32 nd president) served three terms in office and a the 22 nd constitutional amendment was pasted to create term limits for the executive.

14 Funky Terms in Office Most presidents serve their term consecutively expect Grover Cleveland (22nd and 24th president). He is the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms (1885–1889 and 1893–1897).
