Naviance Update
2
The Naviance system is used by Amity students to conduct research on careers, college majors, and complete applications. Many of you have been utilizing this program to learn about college requirements and admission standards over the past few years.
3
Naviance contains both generic college admission information and specific information based on applicants from our high school. The scattergrams and college application summary data is based entirely on information gathered from our students.
4
All of the data gathered in Naviance is anonymous. Future students will not know where you applied or your individual application results. The data you provide is invaluable however, as future students begin to research their own college prospects! This is where you come in!
5
As you hear back from colleges and universities, please login into Naviance from the high school webpage and update your application results.
6
Once you log in, go to the “Colleges” tab and click on the link to “Colleges I’m applying to.”
7
Click on the pencil under the results column.
8
This opens up a page where you can edit all of your application results.
9
The options for results we use at Amity are: Accepted Denied Withdrawn – You contacted the school and withdrew your application, perhaps due to an Early Decision result. No Decision – The college could not act on your application due to lack of required coursework, etc. Incomplete – You did not complete or submit the application to the college.
10
Click on the “update applications” button at the bottom of the page and you are all done. It’s as easy as that! Please return to your Naviance account throughout the spring to enter your results and set the college that you are attending once you make a decision.
11
Once you graduate, the Counseling Department will automatically forward your final transcript based on this entry. Watch for a Naviance e-blast to the Class of 2015. We will be posting the Senior Exit Survey in Naviance in April. Your participation is essential and greatly appreciated.
