VAUXHALL ONE Issues in Vauxhall Street parties around cars in Goding St SE11 on Sundays from c 6.00 am till evening, involving loud music, nitrous oxide capsules, balloons, drug use, drug dealing, intimidating behaviour and much mess. Parking restrictions/bollards - need a solution to stop these cars coming into Goding St on Sunday, without penalising staff working in our venues who part there over night, and indeed families visiting Albert Embankment restaurants. All suggestions/speedy trial periods welcome! Dispersal Zone for central Vauxhall - believe this is steaming ahead. Police calling for it as matter of urgency. Need to make sure there are no delays and it can be in place within next couple of weeks General drug dealing in central Vauxhall - we'd like to retain the mobile CCTV camera currently located in the Vauxhall transport hub and also want regular patrols of the CCTV vehicle whenever possible at weekend evenings.

Central Cluster – Emerging Crime Issues Brixton/Clapham Common Theft From Motor Vehicle Key Findings: 29 Theft From Motor Vehicle offences Most offence occur overnight 2000-0700hrs when owners have left vehicles for the night. Tues / Weds were the busiest days. Most commonly entry is gained to insecure cars then searching boots and glove boxes where portable items of value are removed. Sometimes entry has been gained by bending the car doors. Vehicles have been parked on the street. Property taken include: Car Stereo, Cash, Mobile Phones, Sunglasses, Cosmetics.

4. Central Cluster – Emerging Crime Issues Herne Hill / Coldharbour Residential Burglary Key Findings: 22 Residential Burglary offences in this period Mainly daytime 0600-1700hrs some night time 2300-0600hrs. No keys days offences occur across the week. Most commonly front doors are forced to maisonette flats after entry is gained through the communal door. Sometimes rear windows have forced as well. Any portable items of value are removed such as laptops, jewellery, camera, phones

5. Central Cluster – Emerging Crime Issues Tulse Hill Residential Burglary Key Findings: 32 Residential Burglaries in the last 2wks the is 2 less than the previous 2wks. Key times: Mainly daytime 0700-1700hrs. Friday and Wednesday were busiest. Predominantly front doors are forced to maisonette flats or forced front window and doors to terraced houses. Any portable items of value are removed such as laptops, mobile phones, computers, games consoles, jewellery, watches, cash, bank cards.

6. South Cluster – Emerging Crime Issues Streatham High Road Theft From Motor Vehicle Tfmv 2wk Key Findings: 43 Theft From MV offences Most offences occur overnight 2000-0900hrs. when owners have left vehicles for the night. Thurs / Fri were the busiest days. Most commonly entry is gained to cars by smashing windows then searching boots and glove boxes where portable items of value are removed. Some vehicles have there number plates removed, this is a minority of offences however. Vehicles have been parked on the street. Property taken include: Car Stereo, Cash, Mobile Phones, Laptops, Clothing, Power tools, Number Plates.

7. Licensing Searching on offences which have occurred at a Wine Bar, Licensed Premises (club) and public house, there were 139 offences which occurred at licensed premises this period. The majority of these were Other Theft (n59 -42%) and Other Theft Person (n44 – 32%). The top four locations are: Dogstar offences remain constant over the two periods (15 to 14).

8. Anti Social Behaviour Overview – Police reports Rowdy or Inconsiderate Behaviour: (n337 – 60% decrease from last year and 8% increase from last period) Key locations are Brixton Road (n14 – mainly in close proximity to the tube station), Streatham High Road (n11) and Stockwell Road (n10) Tends to occur between 23::00hrs and 01:00hrs Peak days are Saturdays and Sundays Vehicle Abandoned not stolen (13– 38% decrease from last year and 8% increase from last period): Key location is Effra Parade (n2). Various locations Tends to be reported between 09:00hrs and 10:00hrs Incidents occur throughout the week Vehicle Nuisance (51– 36% decrease from last year and 2% increase from last period): Key location is Norwood Park (n10) Peak hours are between 16:00hrs and 00:00hrs Incidents occur throughout the week, but peak slightly on a Saturday Recommendations: Liaise with Parks in relation to ASB at Norwood Park Although there has been a 43% reduction from the same period last year, incidents have increased by 8% from the last period Rowdy or Inconsiderate Behaviour and Nuisance Neighbours have increased since last period. Top location overall – Brixton Road n23. 14 of these were Rowdy or Inconsiderate Behaviour

9. CRI- :Lambeth Safer Street Team Current ASB Hotspots for Street Population St Leonards churchyard – Reports of street drinkers at the church in the late afternoon and during the evening. This has increased due to the improvement of the weather Waterloo (St John’s church garden, Sutton walk, Waterloo bridge, Cornwall road, Millennium Green) Begging and street drinking is on-going issue. Reports of increased street drinking at Millennium green Wedgewood house (Lambeth Living, Bishops) – Reports and evidence of rough sleepers bedded down within the bin sheds. Reports suggest this has had happened in the past Vauxhall station – underpass tunnels, bus concourse –reports of begging in Vauxhall in which is an on-going problem. This usually occurs during the rush hour period in the morning and afternoon. Enforcement procedure have started with some clients Sainsbury's, Herne Hill – Begging which has been an on-going issue. Contact has been made with the store manager and Herne Hill SNT. Store manager agreed that he will contact the police if the person begging is seen. Clapham High Street and Clapham Common – begging and street drinking is an on going issue. Begging usually occurs at the cash points and the street drinkers tend to congregate the fountain. Wyvill estate – On-going street drug use, reports suggest that this has picked up in recent weeks. Increased patrol from the wardens and Oval SNT.
