2. Where They Came From My Great-great Grandparents on my Grandpa Sullivan’s mother’s side came to America from England. My great-great grandpa was from London, England and my great-great grandma was from Maidstone, England.

3. Where They Moved To and When They Came My great-great grandpa moved to Thomaston, Connecticut in 1906. My great-great grandma followed him here in 1908. In 1955, she moved to Detroit, Michigan to be closer to her daughter.

4. Why They Came He came looking for a better life and she followed two years later to marry him.

5. Where She Came From My Great grandma Redmond, my Grandma Sullivan’s mother, came from Ossendrecht, Holland which is south of Rotterdam.

6. Where She Moved, When, and Why She moved to Detroit, Michigan from Holland in 1921. She brought her belongings in a trunk which is now at my Grandma Sullivan’s house. She came to find a better job and better life. She became a secretary at the phone company
