Jolissa Razink My children (5 and 14) and I were staying at the Royale Islander/Caribbean...24 hours....10 hours....2 hours....before we were evacuated....we were reassured we were in a class 5 hurricane shelter and we were safe....and then we were evacuated to a school with no running water or electricity for 6 days. My husband and 20 month old son and I went to Cancun on October 18th 2005. We spent one blissfully unaware day on the beach, playing in the pool, and then enjoying watching our baby napping in a hammock and the hurricane Wilma happened.
