1 CORNERSTONE Unit 1 Bell Ringer: answer on a piece of notebook paper 1.What is a mission statement? 2.What is a goal? 3.Why is goal setting important?

2 WHAT IS YOUR COLOR? On the back of your paper: Using the provided “Color Code Personality Survey” answer the questions (on your piece of paper, do not write on the survey) When finished, add up the totals from all questions  How many answers were A?  How many answers were B?  How many answers were C?  How many answers were D?

3 WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN? Notes time! Use the hand out to follow along with the PowerPoint and answer all the questions in each section. Be sure to add information you feel important to the hand out as we go through the information.

4 THE RED PERSONALITY (A) Task oriented Committed Logical Self Motivated Quick & easy decision maker Great team player Typically a good leader Focused Are you a RED?  Does this describe you? Explain why. If not, do you know people like this?  Think of at least one person that you think is likely a RED based on these characteristics.  What are the potential down falls of a RED personality?

5 THE YELLOW PERSONALITY (D) Accepting of others Forgiving Friendly Optimistic Trusting Adventurous and daring Non-demanding Disciplined, if task is fun and challenging Appreciative Are you a YELLOW?  Does this describe you? If not, do you know people like this?  Think of at least one person that you think is likely a YELLOW based on these characteristics.  What are the potential down falls of a YELLOW personality?

6 THE BLUE PERSONALITY (B) Loyal to others Sincere Honest Focused Moral conscience High achiever Likes to set goals Works well behind the scenes, doesn’t do as well as the center of attention Empathetic Are you a BLUE?  Does this describe you? If not, do you know people like this?  Think of at least one person that you think is likely a BLUE based on these characteristics. What are the potential down falls of a BLUE personality?

7 THE WHITE PERSONALITY (C) Patient Cooperative Relaxed Understanding Obedient Sincere Genuine Quite, reflective, and peaceful Great listener Enjoys simplicity Are you a WHITE?  Does this describe you? If not, do you know people like this?  Think of at least one person that you think is likely a WHITE based on these characteristics. What are the potential down falls of a WHITE personality?

8 COLOR CODE GAME – 35 POINTS Create a game … that teaches about all of the Colors in the Color Code Survey The game must be playable The game must also be put together in some type of box. All game “moves” must be relevant to the Color Code  I.E. if you land on a red you must… Each game must provide:  Game directions, explaining the game & rules  Representation of each color in the Color Code  Creativity & Originality  Packaging (so the game can be put away)
