This ad was published on December 7, 2001 by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
5
This ad was created to inform teens about the risk of date rape.

When I first came across this picture, I knew it was about rape, because of the title. Then, I realized that the title said ‘she couldn’t say no,’ because she was a victim of date rape. Date rape is accomplished by the placement of a drug, legal or illegal, into an unaware victims' drink without their prior knowledge or consent.

The focus of this photo is the white bold words and the girl’s underwear, because they stand out from everything else.
11
The intended audience of this ad is people who consume alcohol, and their friends.
13
This ad appeals to ethos because it has a logo at the bottom, showing where the ad came from, which is controltonight.com.
15
This ad appeals to logos because it’s trying to convince you to control your drinking so yourself, or someone around you doesn’t become a date rape victim.
17
This ad appeals to pathos because it stresses the concern of responsible drinking for people who consume alcohol because they are at risk of being a victim of date rape without knowing it. Also, you feel sorry for the girl that has been date raped, and feel angry with the person who let her get raped, and the rapist.
