2 Safety Eggs may contain Salmonella bacteria. Do not consume any part of the egg. Wash hands thoroughly when finished. Clean all surfaces.

4 Eggs come in many different sizes

5 Cutting open your egg. 1. Draw an oval on the egg as shown in Figure 1. 2. Carefully open the egg, do not break the yolk.

6 Clean up 1 Throw away the bowl with the egg in it.

Obtain a slide of either a 33 or 48 hour embryo. Draw the embryo in the margin of your lab book. Answer all questions on page 54-55, 5-9. Return Slides, put microscope away.
