5. Project: Shoes Around the World How long: 14 double lessons Design Brief: Design and make a shoe out of your own felt that is inspired by a culture of your choice. Copy down the design brief from the pink box. In the project you will: 1)Draw shoes in pencil and oil pastels. 2)Explore different cultural styles. 3)Explore artists who use pattern. 4)Make your own felt. 5)Learn new skills: felt making, pattern cutting, embroidery. 6)Design and make your own shoe.
