This organization has led the way in building awareness, providing education, and inspiring hope to everyone involved in the effort to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children. 4. Shamrock Fundraiser Every year the KD’s hold a Shamrock project. The goal is to raise money for the Prevent Child Abuse America cause. Every year the KD’s hold a Shamrock project. This tournament has raised over $80,000 for national philanthropies, as well as local philanthropies, like Lowndes County Department of Family and Children Services and the Methodist Children’s Home of Lowndes County. 9. Past Community Service Projects Last semester I also lent a helping hand to the Victory for Victoria 5K run and I also worked a car wash for donations towards Victoria’s cause. 10. All in All!!! Community service is actually a very rewarding experience. I love helping people and I am glad I had the opportunity to get to help people. I also enjoyed bonding with classmates.
