3 History of Synthesizers Originally, synthesizers were created for experimental musicians, so they were not very popular They became popular by a musician named Walter Carlos, who produced two popular songs and a movie soundtrack using a synthesizers Because of Walter’s success many other bands including the Beatles started using synthesizers

4 Changes in Synthesizers Original Synthesizers Size of a bookshelf and had tons of knobs They were analog Made to stay Had a vast variety of sound effects Modern Synthesizers No bigger than a keyboard and not too many knobs Are now digital Made to be portable Still has many sound effects, but not as many as original synthesizers

5 Synthesizer’s Effect on Music Advanced the world of music dramatically as far as creating sound effects for songs
