What Means the World to Me My 12 year old daughter Alexis was a blessing My mom is my best friend I am going to college to be a teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 5 I work as a server for over 10 years I love animals and I am very dedicated to our 4 pets. I enjoy the outdoors music, video games, and anything to do with my family

Children suffering from poverty are affected by the following: Developmental delays and learning disabilities Drop out of school or give birth as a teenager Child abuse and neglect Lack of necessities like hygiene products Behavioral problems

Children who suffered from poverty are affected as adults by the following: Less likely to find employment and earn money More likely to rely on public assistance More likely to suffer from a variety of adverse health problems More likely to engage in criminal activities

Schools affected by students suffering from poverty Students start school behind average student Teacher's job is extended to caretaker Almost half of public school students are eligible for free or reduced lunches High student poverty rates means less money spent on educational benefits Lower graduation rates Higher discipline issues
