There are two possible routes that Phedippides may have taken for his famous run after the battle. The most popular choice is a route along the coast around a mountain with a gentle but protracted uphill climb westward then mildly downhill to Athens. This route is approximately 26 miles (42 kilometers). However, there are suggestions he may have followed another route that climbs the slopes of Mount Penteli to a high pass and then a straight southward downhill path to Athens. This is a shorter route but includes a steep climb of more than 3.1 miles (5 kilometers). The Inc 19/20 Marathon is a combination of these two possibilities: It is 27 miles or weeks in duration. It has steep climbs with big drops, switch-backs, some easy times and other surprises! We still have 10 weeks to go! What lies ahead? Crew Time (Planned)

NASA MSFC Engineering Directorate Mission Operations Laboratory MSFC Page 4 Crew time POIWG #25: Inc 19 = 10.4 hrs USOS, Inc 20 = 880 hrs USOS TODAY: Inc 19 = A lot more than 10.4!, Inc 20 = A lot less than 880! (My unofficial numbers from planned activities are: Inc 19 = ~89 & Inc 20 = ~169) Communication with 6 crew members on 2 S/G channels. TODAY: This concern proved to be valid and is still being worked. All disciplines are requested to identify activities with intensive crew communications to be considered during STP development. Real-time experiences led to a reduction of the planned work day for all crew members from 6.5 hours/day to only 6 hours/day. Some conversations may migrate from S/G to IP Phone or Net-meeting MTL flow in US Lab POIWG #25: planning to a maximum allocation of 145 kg/hr. CHIT 7044 was submitted to request increased MTL (Moderate Temperature Flow) flow for US payload racks. MOD (Mission Operations Directorate) responded with a multi-point solution. TODAY: Lead THOR reports up to 278 kg/hr available (no CHeCS)

AgCam system cannot successfully take photos as planned. Despite extensive trouble-shooting, the specific issue remains unidentified. CGBA-5 lost H&S; recovered via swapped computer card. CIR (Combustion Integration Rack) MTL leak due to a defective QD. This delayed operations, but was eventually overcome. The QD still leaks. MDCA computer communication Glacier fan motor/blower assembly failure. Iris software cannot access a few images. POIC lost access to Command Database on 17 July.

BCC (Backup Control Center) certification completed by 1 June. CIR completed commissioning and began Science Operations. Crew recorded MPC video is down-linked during pre-Sleep. Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) using CGBA-5 has made excellent progress. Enose operations completed; hardware to return on 17A. Glacier was repaired during 2J/A docked operations and used to return all of the planned cold stowage to Earth. SAMS ICU was relocated from ER4 into ER1 to crew a 1-rack solution for both SAMS and MAMS data to fulfill user requests. SPICE operations completed for current on-orbit supply.
