1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. Believe!

3 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. You are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him he will bear much fruit. John 15:1 & 5

4 The Vine and the Branches - John 15:1-8 1.The Vine – A very significant statement – It’s Jesus, not the church, we need to be connected to 2.The Branches – The purpose of the branches is to bear fruit. – We only bear fruit when we remain connected to him 3.The Fruit – Chief of fruit is love! Cp. 13:34-35 4.The Gardener – The gardener is the Father – Cuts out dead wood, v2 & 6 – He prunes the good branches, v2
