2 Humanitarian Programme Cycle Reference Module: Changes for 2016? Humanitarian Response Plan(HRP): the new SRP. ‘Sudden onset/escalation (spike)’ OCHA-UNHCR joint note on mixed situations. Emphasis on flexible, light touch application of tools – no one size fits all approach (see Flash Appeal) HC role in setting overall strategy for humanitarian response, with support of HCT. HQ and donors primary audience as opposed to secondary. Timelines and scenarios: sudden onset/escalation and annual/multi-annual in protracted crisis.

3 CCRM: what’s changed? Added chapter on clusters and sectors – form, accountabilities. Role of clusters in preparedness; Re-stated POLR in section on functions; Emphasizing link to TA; Re-organisation of sections; examples moved to annexes.

4 Planning process: suggested timeline/key steps for 2015 Kick-off workshop mid-July Joint needs analysis workshop – mid-August Finalise HNO early Oct. HRP workshop/HCT discussion on planning parameters, deadlines. Mid-Nov finalised HRP. Launch late Nov/early Dec. Monitoring framework in tandem with HRP
