1 Recording Our Achievement in Archery Mr. Plotner’s 7 th Grade P.E. Class

2 Objectives: Students will be able: -demonstrate proper archery technique -demonstrate all aspects of the Flip Camera -respect others and equipment -follow the safety procedures of Archery -evaluate your performance by analyzing video recording and completing self- assessment.

3 NETS Standard Students apply digital tools to plan, organize and gather information, in order to be able to inquire, analyze, organize and evaluate information.

4 NASPE Standards Addressed -Demonstrates competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities. -Exhibits responsible person and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings.

5 Flip Cameras -User friendly -Buttons: On/Off, Record/Stop, Play, Delete.

6 Student Roles -Performer: Perform the cues of Archery shooting while being recorded -Camera person: Record the performer while they shoot the arrows. -Retriever: While video is being watched, retrieve arrows and set up for next round of shooting.

7 Assessment Archery Self Assessment: ◦Stance ◦Footwork ◦Drawback/Anchor ◦Release/Follow Through

8 Inclusion Possibilities Modify equipment (loosen bow, use different bow) Teacher/Para assist when shooting and/or recording. Simplify self-assessment or change it to a peer assessment.
