4 Information System (IS) Manufacturing Process of Lucky Layla Farms
RAW MILK IS SHIPPED, STORED AND ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE RAW MATERIALS INVENTORY – UPDATE RM INVENTORY RAW MATERIALS TAKEN FOR MANUFACTURING ARE SUBTRACTED FROM THE RM INVENTORY AND RM INVENTORY IS UPDATED MANUFACTURED GOODS ARE STORED AND ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE FINISHED GOODS INVENTORTY MANUFACTURED GOODS ARE ADDED TO THE FG DATABASE STORED GOODS IN THE FG INVENTORY THAT ARE SOLD, ARE SUBTRACTED FROM FG INVENTORY AND FG DATABASE IS UPDATED.

5 Information System(IS) Benefits
Raw material Database Helps keep an accurate count (RM inventory) of the products they currently have and the ones they need. Finished goods Database The FG inventory makes a relatively accurate counting of the finished goods which is then stored in the FG database. THE RM DATABASE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT INCOMING RM FROM VENDOR, AND RM USED FOR MANUFACTURING. THIS DATABSE GIVES THE COMPANY A CLEAR IDEA OF THE RM THEY NEED TO BUY FROM VENDOR IN ORDER TO KEEP THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. THE FG DATABASE TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE FINISHED MANUFACTURED GOODS AND THE SOLD ITEMS. BY ADDING THE MANUFACTURING GOODS INTO THE DATABSE, THE COMPANY KNOWS WHAT ITEMS THEY HAVE READY TO SELL. AFTER SELLING THIS ITEMS, THE FG DATABSE IS UPDATD AGAIN SO THAT THE ITEMS SOLD CAN BE MADE AGAIN THROUGH THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. IT PROVIDES THE DEMAND FROM CUSTOMERS TO KNOW WHICH ITEMS THEY SHOULD PRODUCE MORE OF, OR WHICH ITEMES THEY SHOULD EITHER IMPROVE OR DROP FROM THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. USING RM AND FG SE[ARATE DATABASES DECREASES THE RISK OF ERRORS AND IMPROVES TIME MANAGEMENT, AS WELL AS A CLEAR IMAGE OF DEMANDED PRODUCTS TO PRODUCE OR DROP IN ORDER TO DECREASE PRODUCTION COST, INCREASE SALES, AND INCREASE PROFITS.
