If used, facts will be rarely be plainly stated  May be dressed in descriptive language or “strong” language  Should have all elements of a well-written paragraph  Introductory sentence, example and detail sentences, concluding sentence  Concluding sentence should support the writer’s opinion  Could have a hint of sarcasm  Could have strong language  Should tie together the ideas to conclude the paragraph Practice – Red book page 239
