5. Formed in May 2015. Open to Irish Companies and Researchers in the Water/wastewater Industry. Capability in Ireland is as a result of industrialisation via water intensive industries. Currently 80+ SME companies in this sector, (from large companies to start ups) and 40 are actively involved in the Cluster. There is significant capability in both mainstream water/wastewater products/services and associated products/services. Good capability at research level in key areas. Opportunities and Challenges in the Irish Dairy Processing sector. Four Events planned by EI for next year: 1.Inward Buyer Event: Tier 1 Contactors for UK Water Industry – March 2016. 2.Market Knowledge Event for an UK Food/Bev sub sector – May 2016. 3.Inward Buyer Event: Northern European Food/Bev – Sept. 2016 4.Innovation/Emerging Technologies Event.

9. Cluster is seeking external collaborations. The Cluster is keen to collaborate with national organisations/international groups. Increased collaboration to raise profile and market presence for mutual benefit. Our researchers are happy to work with overseas innovators bringing our national capability to bear on key issues and challenges – new test facility being developed by Irish Water.
