1. Established in 1998 by a group of volunteers that moved to the area from other teams.

2.  The purpose of this organization will be to provide Cayuga County and other agencies requesting mutual aid with a professional, well trained rescue team for the purpose of assisting duly constituted law enforcement agencies, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), emergency medical agencies and fire and rescue departments in searches and related work.
