7.  Protects the rights of people accused of a crime  No one can be put on trial without first being indicted

8.  A legal counsel must be provided to a defendant

9.  If you sue someone for more than $20 a jury is provided for you

10.  Ensures that neither bail nor punishment for a crime will be unreasonably severe

11.  Provides that the peoples right are not limited to those mentioned in the constitution

12.  Protects the states and the people from an all-powerful government
