Founding Fathers George Washington= 1st U.S. president. John Adams= 2nd U.S. president and also the signer of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson= 3rd U.S. president, Drafter, and signer of the Declaration or Independence. Benjamin Franklin= Signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Middle Colonies Middle Colonies- New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania What they have in their country-ship building, trade, oats, wheat, rye, tobacco.

Southern Colonies Southern Colonies- Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia What they have in their country-tobacco, tar from pine trees, pitch, rice, Indigo.

Jobs During Colonial Time Tools= Bevels, squares, saws, planes, hammers, draw knives, spokes knives, compasses, calipers, chisels, gouges, augers, gimlets, and braces. Background and purpose of the job= Tailor: makes clothing for women and men. Brick maker: firing bricks for construction and repair. Cooper: makes stuff to store wine and gun powder. Typical work day= Night and Day.

Crafts and Games Crafts and Games of the Colonial time= board games, puzzles, cards, rolling hoops, walking on stilts, and nine pins (bowling).

Family Life Shelter- Made of wood and bricks. Furnishings- Chairs, tables, beds, and lanterns.

Education Education- It was only available for those that could afford it.

Food Food- Gingerbread and holiday wassail, peanut soup, and Shepard's pie and much more.

Clothes Costume- Women: Hat, hopped petticoat, shift, stockings, shoes, stays, lace neck kerchief, stomacher, gown, silk petticoat.
