History 1937- Hamden L. Forkner developed the FBLA concept. 1940- National Council for Business Education accepted official FBLA sponsorship. 1942- First high school chapter was developed in Tennessee. 1949- Georgia received state charter. 1979- The Professional Division began. 1994- FBLA Middle Level began.

President Conduct and preside over meetings. Keep in close touch with members and advisors. Encourage member participation.

Secretary Take minutes and provide copies for advisors and officers. Record attendance at all meetings. Assist the president in developing a chapter handbook.

Officer Provide a professional environment for members. Include all members in a dynamic program of work.

Historian Maintain accurate, up to date history. Include a state newsletter. Include an annual chapter activity report.
