1 FBLA By: Sara Wheeler

2 History 1937- Hamden L. Forkner developed the FBLA concept. 1940- National Council for Business Education accepted official FBLA sponsorship. 1942- First high school chapter was developed in Tennessee. 1949- Georgia received state charter. 1979- The Professional Division began. 1994- FBLA Middle Level began.

3 President Conduct and preside over meetings. Keep in close touch with members and advisors. Encourage member participation.

4 Secretary Take minutes and provide copies for advisors and officers. Record attendance at all meetings. Assist the president in developing a chapter handbook.

5 Officer Provide a professional environment for members. Include all members in a dynamic program of work.

6 Historian Maintain accurate, up to date history. Include a state newsletter. Include an annual chapter activity report.
