3 What is the Critical Path? Critical tasks needed for first SIP/TIP submittal Dec 2003 under 309. Tribes have the option. For 16 federal Class I areas in Colorado Plateau only. Some tasks in prep for 2008 SIP/TIPs
4
4 Deliverables used for modeling visibility for best & worse days in Colorado Plateau. Preliminary modeling results expected early 2002. Results critical for 308 vs. 309 decision- making. Results also critical for SIPs if state legislative authority needed. Modeling Work Key to Critical Path
5
5 What Work is Needed for 2003? 1. Projecting Visibility Improvement in CP 2. Requirements for CACs 3. Elements to make Annex operational 4. Need for NOx & PM milestones 5. Mobile Source requirements/assessments 6. Fire requirements/controls 7. Road Dust impact & controls if “significant” 8. Summarize Air Pollution Prevention plans 9. Other related work
6
6 1. Projecting Visibility Improvement n Model visibility improvements thru 2018 * Modeling Forum Who is doing what work?

8 3. Annex related elements n Adopt model trading rules n MOUs for participating states/tribes n Critical Mass n “Reasonably attributable” BART n Allocations n Other federal Class I Areas n Monitoring Protocols Market 3 Trading Forum
9
9 4. NOx & PM milestones n Are they needed? What are visibility benefits? Adopt in 2008 if needed. Market Trading Forum Who is doing what work?
10
10 5. Mobile Source Work n Mobile Source current & future EI Mobile Source Forum n define “significant contribution to impairment” Mobile Source Forum n determination of impairment * Modeling Forum n If significant, Emissions Cap & Tracking 3 Mobile Source Forum Who is doing what work?
