7 Many battles take place between the two countries. Mexico

8 September 17, 1847, the United States conquers Mexico City. Mexico

9 February 2, 1848, the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo is signed and rushed to Washington. Mexico

10 March 10, 1848, the treaty is ratified by the US Senate. Mexico

11 March 28, 1848, the treaty is ratified by the Mexican Congress. Mexico

12 In the war, the United States gained California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. Mexico
