Paper 1 - Question 1 – Source Information Format: Good sentences Length: 1-2 sentences Rewrite what the source is saying in your own words If it is a picture, do not rewrite what the caption says or what it says on the picture o USE YOUR OWN WORDS!!!

Values o Using your knowledge about what was going on at the time and what type of source it is, why should we trust this source? Limitations o Using your knowledge about what was going on at the time and what type of source it is, why should we not trust this source?

Paper 1 - Question 4 - Essay Length: 5 paragraphs Format: Intro (1 paragraph) = o Grabber o Background - What's going on in history? o Restate question and define key words o Thesis: opinion (argument) + what paragraphs are going to talk about Body (3 paragraphs) o Baby thesis = Opinion + 1 idea o Evidence = Facts from documents Facts from notes o Argument = Opinion + Evidence Conclusion o Restate thesis in new words o Recap evidence o Connection to world
