2. Jigsaw Each student will receive a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. Those with the same number must get into a group in an assigned location of the classroom Look at the document corresponding with that number. Write down as much information as you can gather from it. (Work together as a team!) Be prepared to discuss your findings to the rest of the class. The rest of the class will be responsible for taking down the notes that you report to them.

3. Mummies/Mummification Egyptians were among the first people to believe in life after death. Mummification prevented the corpse from decaying. Natron was a salt like substance that sped up the process of dehydration and prevented decomposition. It preserved the body better. Strips of white linen protected the body from being damaged, and being wrapped in canvas further protected them.
