Page 2 out of 9 Jovan Puzović, Belgrade SHINE team Overview -Current status after January works: 1) 2 Caen crates (right 1 and 2) removed from rack 2) 2 BG crates installed instead 3) 20 Custom made HV Distributors installed 4) Both crates connected via RS485 link to computer in counting room 5) Connection established, beta version of monitoring program working well

Page 4 out of 9 Jovan Puzović, Belgrade SHINE team Current status -Crates R-1 and R-2 installed in the pit (20 distributors) -Connection established, demo monitor program works -4 pixels monitored with PSI DRS4 protoboard for 3 days with old CAEN HV supply -Then monitored for 3 days with BG HV supply -Amplitude spectra identical!

Page 7 out of 9 Jovan Puzović, Belgrade SHINE team Perfomance -Readout cycle ~ 8s -Preliminary calibration of HV readout for R-2-9 was made -HV readout precision: better than 1V on 1400V -Statistical fluctuation (sigma): less than 0.5V

Page 8 out of 9 Jovan Puzović, Belgrade SHINE team Plan -Still needs some nuts and bolts for HV connectors! -To finish upgrade needs 5-6 working days: 2 days – removing 2 CAEN crates, far from the beam 1 days – installing 2 BG crates 2 days – testing and calibrating of HV readout -Foreseen for summer this year
