3 Creating an Organization Gather group members. − Establish Board of Directors. − Establish term limits. − Establish Membership…Coaches, Administrators, Community, Press. − Create recommended responsibilities. Contact District and or/legal representation for incorporation. − District Sponsorship. − Nonprofit.

4 Calendar Schedule Event Date. Schedule Meeting Dates. Schedule Nomination Deadlines. − Voting Meeting. Schedule Notification Deadlines. − Inductees − School Board − Press/Community Schedule Post Event Review Meeting.

5 Who to Nominate Who nominates…Public/Coaches/Other Inductees: Athlete/Coach/Team/Other Create forms that gather meaningful information. Criteria for Nominations − Athletic Accomplishments − Years Graduated (5/10 or more) − Jr. High/College Accomplishments Special Recognitions (Contributors, etc.)

6 Event Format Plan Select Venue − Attendance − Ticket Sale Restrictions? − Table Sizes Select Day and Time best for community. Attendee Requirements. − Dress Code Cost of Tickets.

7 Event Format Date Order of Speakers (District, Local, etc.). Decide who introduces inductee Time limit for inductee speeches. Decide who speaks for teams. Decide who speaks for deceased.
