2
ENFit™ Your Clear Connection to Enteral Safety The new ENFit connector provides a global solution to reduce the risk of enteral tube feeding misconnections and improve patient safety. The new global ENFit connector: Specifically addresses connections between enteral feeding tubes, administration sets, medication, flush, and bolus feeding syringes, and other enteral devices.
3
CORFLO™ & ENTRAL™ To reduce the risk of misconnections, the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) has developed a series of new International Standards for small bore connectors in a range of medical devices (ISO 80369). Currently included are breathing systems and driving gases, enteral feeding, limb cuff inflation devices, neuraxial devices (for spinal and epidural injections), and intravascular/ hypodermic applications (i.e. injections and infusions, for which Luer connectors will be retained). The standards define the design of the connectors for these applications so that the risk of misconnections with other connectors in the series is reduced.

ISO 80369-3 standard — ENFit™ The ENFit introduction will be a 2-stage process in the UK ENFit transition giving sets and gravity sets made available from September 2015 ENFit feeding tubes and syringes being introduced from June 2016. To facilitate the smooth transition to the ISO standard, all EPSG member companies and NHS Supply Chain have agreed not to place any ENFit enteral feeding device (other than transition giving sets and gravity sets) into the UK market until June 2016. It is envisaged that this process will minimise disruption to the NHS, whilst maintaining patient safety at all times.

CORPAK is fully prepared for the introduction of ENFit for both CORFLO & ENTRAL range of products As a member of the EPSG (Enteral Plastics Safety Group) and GEDSA (Global Enteral Device Safety Group) CORPAK is active and committed to timings and communications that will ensure a safe and seamless transition. ISO standard — ENFit™

How will the ENFit stock be managed? The plan is, with CORPAK on course, to have all ENFit product lines available for June 2016 CORPAK will have enough stock in the UK to ensure a smooth transition for both our CORFLO and ENTRAL customers ISO standard — ENFit™
