 Will the bag began to leak as soon as the pencil is inserted?

 Personally, I believe the bag will leak within the first pencil inserted because there is room for water to escape.

 Zip lock plastic bag  Pencils  Pencil Sharpener

 1. Gather all materials needed to complete the experiment. (found on the previous slide)  2. Grab the zipper lock bag and open the bag. Once open, fill the bag with ½ water. Make sure the bag is sealed tight.

 3. Putting the bag off to the side for now. Grab the pencils and use the pencil sharpener to sharpen the pencils. Once all pencils are sharpened, experiment can begin.  4. Get a pencil and the zip lock bag. Insert the pencil into the bag but make sure that the pencil does not go in all the way.

 5. Once the action is completed, it can be repeated.

 After inserting the pencils into the bag, there were no leaks. Pencils insertedOutcome 1No Leak 2 3 4 5 6 7

 Student Name: Teresa Escalante  Date: 07/ 15/ 2015  Portfolio Artifact Description: Create a science fair project using a software that is made for linear slideshow presentation.  What you learned:  I really enjoy hand on activities, so this assignment was very enjoyable. There were so many experiments to choose from. Surprisingly, the experiment I planned to do; which was cotton balls on fire that do not burn, did not occur. Since I have been using PowerPoint, the assignment was easy going and had no confusion with the assignment whatsoever.  National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS)T Addressed:  Standard #1 Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advances student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to face and virtual environments.  http://www.iste.org/standards.aspx http://www.iste.org/standards.aspx  Application of Skills Learned for the Future:  The assignment took a creative technological look at science fair projects. Using the process of presenting information on a slide show is a great assignment to use. Students can create a story and add images from the web and or upload them onto the software to personalize.
