TY offers an opportunity to try something NEW! Subjects may be sampled during TY allowing for more informed choices for your subject choice in 5 th year.

Choose 4 subjects from French, German, Italian Art, Home Economics, Science Classical Studies, History, Geography, Music, Business NOTE: Languages and Music CANNOT be dropped for TY and taken up again in 5 th Year

This is time for the TY Team to meet with the girls We will facilitate a number of mini modules eg; Preparation of Work, Interview Skills, Speakers Self-assessment and evaluation of the TY programme will also be facilitated during this weekly period.

Many employers have limited spaces so try to get organised as early as possible. Hospitals set their own dates RTE is by a lottery every two years, we are not on their list of schools for this year.

Academic Subjects Continuous Assessment o One assessment each half term. o No formal exams in first term. o Formal exams in May.

TY Specific Modules Self Assessment o Complete a self assessment form at the end of each module. o Teacher provides a comment. o Parents signature o Retained in Portfolio Credits

Compile a portfolio of your work from the year and present it to staff. There will be an interview to discuss the portfolio and your TY experience. Contents o 16 pieces of work o Self assessments o Evaluations of Key events o Book reports
