Decibels Sound is measured in decibels. A normal conversation should be about 60 decibels. Anything above 120 decibels will harm your eardrum. The greater the decibels-the greater the amplitude.

Your Ear Outer ear- The sound waves enter into your outer ear. Middle ear-The sound waves vibrate your eardrum. Inner Ear-The vibrations travel to your brain.
