SO SR Problem statement improve the value of your NSI focusing on knowledge products You intend to improve the value of your NSI through enhancing the statistical product portfolio – by focusing on knowledge products (i.e. value-added products). How can you realise this intention (using process approach)? (What impact will this intention have on the processes (on the QMS) of your NSI? Is the process approach advantageous? If yes / not - why?)

Identify links to supporting managerial processes Strategic management Tactical management... set up processes (system) Operational management Will you have to alter your strateg. objectives? What is the corresponding measurement, target, controlling mechanism? (link to the NSI value), How can you check your achievements with your customers? Will you have to modify your existing value-adding process? Other processes? Will you have to introduce a new process?.. KM? What, who, when, with what targets will do it? What controlling mechanism can be set up on the operational level?.. linked with the controlling on the strategic level?

Identify links to supporting resource processes Managing HR Managing ICT Infrastructure, work environment Will it influence the system of personal work (recruitment, selection; developing/learning; involving/empowering; motivation)? What culture will have to be encouraged?... K sharing culture? Will it influence the ICT in NSI? ICT for = production of K products – hw, sw – visualisation = for communication/sharing of K (in time & space) Will it influence the set up of work environment? (premises, discussions “at water cooler” – sharing knowledge)
