2  Congratulations!  You have just won a free holiday up to the value of £2000 for you and your friends. Activity

3  Decide who you are taking with you.  When will you be going and for how long?  Research destinations and the type of holiday you would like to go on.  Any transport required. Activity

4  On one side of A3 display this information, including:  How much it costs.  Where you will be staying.  The activities you will be doing. Activity

5  Present this information to the person you are sat next to.  Respond to any questions that you may be asked Activity

6  You have actually used a lot of skills to plan your holiday.  What specific skills do you think you have used? Skills

7  By reading about activities and presenting your plans to people you have used literacy skills. Literacy

8  By spending your £2000 you have demonstrated your numeracy skills. Numeracy

9  By searching the internet for holidays, you have used digital literacy skills. Digital Literacy

10  By choosing dates and a holiday, you have demonstrated planning and organisational skills Planning and Organisation

11  By choosing a particular holiday and deciding on activities,you have demonstrated how creative and innovative you are. Creativity and Innovation

13  Did you answer any questions when you were explaining your holiday to your partner?  If so, you were demonstrating your effectiveness in responding to the brief. Personal Effectiveness

14  Over the next year, you will be working on developing these specific skills.  They are essential life skills and there are always opportunities to practice and improve them.  The most important thing to realise is: it is by reflecting on how well you used your skills, that will enable you to improve your skill set.
