Cities That Deal with Urbanization Libya - Has highest rate of Urban population (88%) Tunisia - Has high rate of Urban population (66%) South Africa - Has almost same rate as Tunisia (58%) Equatorial Guinea - Almost half of Guinea has an Urban population (49%) The percent of people listed is the amount of people living in Urban areas

What is Overpopulation? Overpopulation is when the population of an area exceeds the capacity of the area Caused by better medicine, more births, people living longer, loss of resources Less space for people to live Spending more money

Overpopulation in Africa Over population is caused from women not being able to plan their families Many women have high fertility rates Average Niger woman has 7.5 children Death rate has gone down 200 million Africans are between the ages of 15-24

The Effects of Overpopulation in Africa More than half of the population in some states is under 25 By 2060 there will be 2.8 billion people living in Africa Sub-Saharan Africa created a demographic
