Protein deficiency diseases
Symptoms:- Child loses appetite. The bones of legs bend. The chest protrudes abnormally. Age group years :- Protection:- Protein rich food items should be eaten.

Carbohydrate & Protein deficiency diseases
Symptoms:- Weight of body is decreased. Physical growth stops. Mental growth in not normal. Extreme weakness. Digestive system becomes weak. Age group:- Up to 1 year Protection :- Food items which are rich in carbohydrate protein should be eaten.

Deficiency of Vitamin A
Symptoms:- Night blindness. The person can not see in dim light or at night. ) Precautions:- Yellow, Orange or Red colored fruits & vegetables should be eaten. e.g. papaya, egg, carrot.

Deficiency of Vitamin B
Symptoms:- Beri beri(Loss of appetite & weight, numbness in hands and feet, Cracks around the lips.) Precautions:- Green leafy vegetables, whole pulse, milk, eggs, gram, wheat should be eaten.

Deficiency of Vitamin ‘C’
Symptoms:- Scurvy(Bleeding in gums, wobbly teeth, weigth loss, pain in the joints.) Precautions:- Citrus fruits should be eaten.

Deficiency of Vitamin D
Symptoms:- Rickets(bow shaped legs) Precautions:- Custard apples, cheekoo, eggs, milk, cheese should be eaten, and we can get vitamin D from sun light also.

Mineral Deficiency Diseases
Deficiency of Iron: -Anaemia Symptoms:- Body turns pale, tired & weak feeling, appetite loss, and flatten and white nails. Precautions:- Iron rich fruits like apple, guava, pomegranate, and vegetables like spinach, brinjal etc. should be eaten.

Iodine Deficiency It causes goitre disease. Symptoms:-
The glands in the throat enlarges abnormally. Less physical & mental development. Precautions:- Sea food, which contains high quantity of iodine should be eaten.

Prevention of Nutrients of food
DON’TS wash vegetables after cutting. Overcook the food. Fry or warm the food again & again. DO’S Cook with covering the utensil. Try to use uncooked green vegetables in the form of salad etc.

Obesity It is a kind of disease, which arises due to: Over eating.
Eating oily & fried food. Eating canned food, in which quantity of minerals & proteins is less Insufficient physical exercise For Proper Treatment One Must Consult The Doctor
