© Copyright AD Group What is ANPR ? Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) has proved to be the most pervasive, reliable and commercially deployable of all the video content analysis solutions. Highly flexible, ANPR can use CCTV Cameras, Speed/Road Safety Cameras or specifically designed ANPR cameras to capture vehicle license plates. Invented in 1976 it was quickly identified as both a valuable weapon against crime and a commercially viable product. Traditionally based PC technologies are expensive and difficult to integrate with general CCTV systems. Today, commercially available ANPR systems include embedded systems that offer exceptional performance in terms of speed, reliability and system integration.

© Copyright AD Group Typical Applications Identify and record the licence plate details of all vehicles coming into, and/or leaving, a particular area. Recording the associated video images for a particular period of time and saving for later analysis. Controlling access to site buy identifying vehicle licence plate details and activating a control barrier for approved vehicles. Generating billing information for parking. Traffic monitoring and congestion charge billing.

© Copyright AD Group Common Scenarios Petrol forecourts to deter ‘drive-offs’. Private / Public car parks for monitoring vehicle access and billing. Waste management sites. Warehouse loading bays to accurately link vehicle deliveries with time. Weigh bridges for additional vehicle monitoring and logging. Local authority traffic monitoring. Toll roads for ‘drive-through’ customers. Congestion Charging for vehicles entering / exiting built up areas.

© Copyright AD Group HyperSense Technology Dedicated Micros unique HyperSense Technology rejects ambient light from any scene Only objects that strongly reflect the IR light emitted by the integrated IR LED array are displayed. HyperSense is ideal for ANPR applications Retroflective backgrounds on number plates offer a high contrast between licence plate numbers & letters and the plate background.

© Copyright AD Group Analogue and IP Our ANPR cameras are available in both analogue and IP formats, both provide Images that are enhanced for ANPR processing by the HyperSense camera Analogue Enables you to deploy with coax cable infrastructure. The ANPR processing is dealt with by the AnalyticsCapable DVR using our ANPR software (available via a software licence). IP ANPR processing is conducted by the camera, freeing the DVR from conducting the additional processing. Can utilise Power over Ethernet (PoE) to minimise the necessary cabling Thanks to our NetVu Connected Technology either of these options can be seamlessly deployed into an existing NetVu Connected CCTV solution without the need to re-design or re-build.

What does AnalyticsCapable Mean? AnalyticsCapable products can be upgraded to run a range of Dedicated Micros video analytics solutions including ANPR Developed within the AD Group development team, our analytics technology can be seamlessly embedded within a range of Dedicated Micros world leading NetVu Connected DVR’s – including SD Range*, DV-IP Server, HighVu Excel, DV-IP RT, and the IP version of our ANPR Optimised Cameras Integrate the ANPR camera with the other cameras on the system, viewing them via a local monitor or remotely from NetVu ObserVer * Certain SD Range models require a hardware upgrade

IP Cameras can also be seamlessly integrated. The processing of the ANPR data is conducted within the AnalytcisCapable DVR via a software licence (purchased separately) Video of all cameras can be shown either locally on the monitor or remotely via NetVu ObserVer. ANPR data can be overlaid as text on the ANPR camera stream or held as an event database to be called up when needed Coax Ethernet

© Copyright AD Group Benefits Identify and record the licence plate details of all vehicles coming into, and/or leaving, a location irrespective of the lighting conditions. Ambient scene removal uniquely performed in real time by the camera extracts unnecessary detail from the image, speeding up plate finding and improving accuracy Even headlight glare will not obstruct the image Overview camera provides high resolution image for vehicle association Helps increase premises security. IP Options preloaded with ANPR software allowing analytics to be processed at the camera. Helps automate routine tasks, such as time and attendance for warehouse deliveries. Include ANPR into your existing NetVu Connected CCTV installation without the need to redesign or re-install the system
