This project will help my students develop 21 st century skills by: Collaborating with peers by conducting surveys to glean feedback. Analyzing data surveys and drawing conclusions to answer Unit Questions. Solving design problems and making decisions about their final product. Communicating with others via social media, online surveys, digital software and artist historical information.
5
What I want to learn from my students? I want to find out what they already know about the Unit Questions. How I have tried to promote higher-order thinking? I ask students to find relationships and draw conclusions about how artists make decisions. How the assessment information helps me and my students plan for upcoming activities in the unit? If students have different levels of understanding of color theories, art history movements and uses for art, I can have the more experienced students help the beginners. We will revisit this assessment throughout the unit for students to add their knowledge. What feedback or additional ideas I’d like? I would like help on my assessment. I think I need to elicit more higher-order thinking, but I’m not sure how.

To inspire my students to become more interested in learning about art within themselves and their community. To incorporate different kinds of technology for sharing concepts Share ideas with other teachers, students and artists
7
To learn how artists create artwork and think about new ideas To become more critical and independent artists and learners Students create artworks that use organizational principles and functions to solve specific visual arts problems and evaluate their effectiveness. Students apply media, techniques, and processes with sufficient skill, confidence and sensitivity that their intentions are carried out in their artworks. Students will intentionally take advantage of the qualities and characteristics of art media, techniques, and processes to enhance communication of their experiences and ideas.
