1. Final England Meeting February 5, 2015

2. Airport Arrival Please arrive at the McNamara Terminal (Delta) by no later than 7:30 PM. We are going to check in together and we need all travelers there. Whatever you do, please do not forget your passport. It is the most important thing to have. You are not getting on the plane without it.

3. Flight Information - repeated Delta Flight #18 departs at 10:12 PM on 2/14 and arrives at Heathrow Airport in London at 11 AM on 2/15. Return – Delta Flight #19 leaves at 10:10 AM on 2/21 and arrives at 1:52 PM on 2/21. Please plan on a 3 PM pickup at the airport.

4. Hotels The information sheet has all the hotels and we have a number of rooms for two of them (I’m not posting this on our website for safety reasons). I will make some tentative room assignments for the other hotels when I have those. All hotels have hairdryers and Wi-Fi

5. Tips/Money We did not qualify for the big bonus as there are still some balances out there. The $50 covers the group leader for the week (a little more than $6/day). I will cover bus drivers and other guides out of my own pocket. 25 pounds per day of spending should be PLENTY. Students are on their own as far as holding their own funds/withdrawing from ATM’s. I will have some extra funds in case a student runs into trouble.

6. Emergency Plans All travelers will receive a folder at the airport with the following: – Flight Information – Hotel Information – Itinerary – EF Emergency Numbers – My cell phone number – What to do in an emergency

7. Emergency Plans - continued EF Emergency Numbers: 1-800-637-8222 from United States. 001-617-619-2913 from outside of the US. This is the very first number to call. My cell number 1-586-212-2156 – you may need to dial 011-586-212-2156. 112 – That’s Europe’s version of 911

8. Student Injury Each group leader will have all student health forms with them. Depending on the seriousness, 112 may be called first. If it is a non-life threatening injury, we will notify you first. One of the chaperones will be with your child and I will make arrangements for others in the group to be supervised.

9. Lost student If a student wanders off on us or gets lost, we will have instructions in the folder on what to do. – Call my cell phone or other chaperone if they can – If they cannot, and they have their folders and/or hotel business card, take a cab to hotel. We will check with the hotel. – If they cannot do those, find a local business and call from there. – If they lost their folders too, find a local business and call 112. We will be in touch with authorities.

10. Disaster – Natural or Unnatural Parents – start with the EF emergency hotline. You will get someone there and they will track us down. Students/chaperones – Stay where they are unless that area is life threatening. We will work with authorities and the US consulate on getting everyone back together and tracking everyone down Our blogspot is also a good place to check. I am data capable and can post messages letting everyone know we are good.

11. Robbery All items are replaceable. Follow lost student protocol depending on what one has left. US Consulate can issue temporary passports. That’s the first place we would go. This is why it helps to have copies as well.

12. Our on site Tour Director Rebecca Barry – goes by Becky 8 years of experience guiding tours Please look at her information sheet – lots of great tips there. She is recommending a “Harry Potter” guided tour our final night in London after dinner – cost 10 pounds.
