RSM(Remote Site Management): Cascade sites management. Up to 5 CMSs can be managed by 1RSM . Maximum 2 users can synchronized log in Control Client with RSM Users. (Not support Mobile Client accessed ) Server Client Camera Viewer: This module was named as “Web Client” before, and it was also a B/S client for accessing the iVMS-5200 Pro through browser. It provides basic video surveillance functionalities of live view, playback, and local configuration . Web Manager Camera Viewer Mobile Client Control Client RSM SMS SS CMS Mobile Client: Mobile Client is designed for getting access to the iVMS-5200 Pro via Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G and 4G network with mobile device. It fulfills the functions of the devices connected to the iVMS-5200 Pro, such as live view, remote playback, PTZ control and so on.

03 Main Functionalities Abbreviation Explanation Main Functionalities
RSM Remote Site Management RSM is the management center of CMSs. It can view all the video and receive all the alarm information of managed CMSs. CES Cascading Event Server CES is integrated in the RSM, and it can relay alarm information to all sites and logs on the control client with RSM user CMS Central Management Server CMS is the core component of iVMS-5200 Pro, providing the authentication, permission granting, and management service. CMS authenticates the access of the client, manages the user, role, permission, monitor devices. SMS Stream Media Server SMS is mainly responsible for the distribution and forwarding of the live video stream ,and concurrently 300 channels can be forwarded. The stream from third-party devices can also be forwarded by SDK or RTP/RTSP protocol. The SMS utilizes the bandwidth in a responsible way, in that it can save the bandwidth when there are many users getting the same video stream via the SMS.SMS help transcode platform’s HD stream to the standard definition stream which is used for live view in the mobile client. SS Storage Server The storage server gets video via Stream Media Server or directly from the encoding devices, and extracts its index information and stores the recoding files, pictures on the storage device, thus to realize the large-scale network storage.

12
01 Installation Guide 1.Right click the installation package, and select “Run as administrator” to start installation process. 2. “Default” means to install all the components on the same server default, “Custom” means we can choose component which we needed to install on this server. 3.This interface will be shown after we choose “Custom”, and we should focus on “iVMS-5200 Remote Site Management” which is new in this version. We will introduce the functionalities in following page.
13
01 Installation Guide We should pay more attention to this page which is the new one in the V3.3. when we choose ”Normal”, we should input the server’s correct IP address and the CMS port, so the other service can be registered to CMS easily. “Hot Backup” is a new installation mode in the V3.3, we can choose it when we need to backup main servers(CMS/SMS/SS) by the other standby servers ,and the “Service Manger” will not be installed on the server. iVMS-5200 Pro V3.3 supports deployment with the function named ”Windows Cluster “ of windows operation system or the software “Rose Replication” to achieve Hot Backup function. We have other documents to describe the operation processes of “Hot Backup” installation, but only describe operation wizard of “Normal” mode.
14
01 Installation Guide The interface of“ Service Manager” is as above. “Status” and “Register” will be displayed clearly on the interface. But “ Service Manager” will not run on the server when we choose “Hot Backup ”mode.

01 Login Web Manager 1.Log in Web Manager: Input ” address” in the browser address bar, the default port is “80”. If you have changed the port of CMS, you should also add the port number after the IP address. For example ” 2.We should select the user type(CMS User or RSM User ), if we deploy the platform with the cascading solution. 3. We should initialize password for the user “admin” before we login. Note: Don’t forget to install the plug-in before you can access the functions.
17
02 Activation Activation: We should apply the license from pre-sale engineers from Hikvision, and activate the platform function with it. “Online Activation” means the server with CMS can connect to internet, we just click “Online Activation” and the license configuration window will be popped up. The follow process is input License code->Click “Activate” iVMS-5200 pro V3.3 supports multi-license activation codes for the same platform ,we just need to click “+”and type in the license codes information. We should configure the hot spare server information if we deploy the platform with “Hot Backup” mode.
18
“Offline Activation”is recommended
02 Activation “Offline Activation” means the server with CMS can’t connect to the internet, so we should active the platform by another server which can log in Hikvision official website, and then visit “License Management” interface. “Offline Activation”is recommended iVMS-5200 Pro V3.3 supports multi-license activation codes for the same platform ,we just need to click “+”and type in the license codes information. We will receive a new file(ActivationRequestFile.bin) after step1 ,then we should copy that file to another PC which can connect to internet. Next page will show us following process We should configure the hot spare server information if we deploy the platform with “Hot Backup” mode.
19
“Offline Activation”is recommended
02 Activation “Offline Activation”: We should log in Hikvision official website on another server and finish operation before step2 of “ Offline Activation”. “Offline Activation”is recommended Process of “Offline Activation” will be described on this page, we should focus on “step4”: Click on “Browse” as shown below to open our local directory, and then choose the “ActivationRequestFile.bin” file we received before. Click “Submit” to upload Request File. Download and save the Request File to the original, offline sever with CMS. Turn to “License Management” interface
20
“Offline Activation”is recommended
02 Activation “Step2” of “Offline Activation” “Offline Activation”is recommended Click “Browse” and choose the Request File from our storage path. When the file name appears in the text field in the window, click “Import”. A notification with the text “Activated” will appear on your screen
21
03 Database Backup We can learn more about the wizards, and more details about the system configuration.
