3 HALs – Haringey Adult Learning Services Range of services- many of them free Free Family Learning for parents and carers and children in schools and centres Strengthening Families – parenting classes in Haringey ESOL classes, Computer skills, Parent toolkit, Office skills, English and Maths skills, ICT skills Short courses based in a variety of settings, Wood Green Library, N22, Triangle Centre N15

4 Teaching English courses ESOL ( English as a second language ) classes - HALs, Triangle Children’s centre, COLNEL EFL classes ( English as a foreign language) – Southgate campus, N14 EAL ( English as an additional language )

5 Employment,Career and training Courses in Haringey / Hackney and surrounding boroughs – seek advice from libraries / local colleges Part time / full time –arts and crafts, book keeping, computers, functional skills in English, Maths, Health and Well Being, ESOL Barnados –new employment project for 18 – 24 year olds Work Routes – earning London Living Wage – free advice and guidance

6 Housing, Welfare, Benefits, Immigration support Praxis Advice services – filling in forms, advice Citizens Advice Bureau – (CAB) Park Lane, Triangle, Broad Water Farm children’s centres List of Landlords who accept Housing Benefit tenants Gingerbread- single parents, do not speak English Financial management services
