3 *PROPOSAL 2015-16: STUDENT ASSISTANT COACH PERMITS A FULL-TIME GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WITHIN THEIR 5 YEAR CLOCK TO SERVE AS A STUDENT COACH. PERMITS A FULL-TIME GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT WITHIN THEIR 5 YEAR CLOCK TO SERVE AS A STUDENT COACH. CURRENT RULE ONLY ALLOWS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO SERVE AS STUDENT COACH CURRENT RULE ONLY ALLOWS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS TO SERVE AS STUDENT COACH THE LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENT COACHES IS THE SAME AS THE LIMIT IN EACH SPORT FOR COUNTABLE COACHES THE LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENT COACHES IS THE SAME AS THE LIMIT IN EACH SPORT FOR COUNTABLE COACHES EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE

4 PROPOSAL 2015-29: ATHLETICALLY RELATED INCOME ELIMINATES THE REQUIREMENT THAT ALL ATHLETIC STAFF MUST SUBMIT A WRITTEN DETAILED ACCOUNT ANNUALLY TO THE CHANCELLOR FOR ALL ATHLETICALLY RELATED INCOME AND BENEFITS FROM SOURCES OUTSIDE THE INSTITUTION. ELIMINATES THE REQUIREMENT THAT ALL ATHLETIC STAFF MUST SUBMIT A WRITTEN DETAILED ACCOUNT ANNUALLY TO THE CHANCELLOR FOR ALL ATHLETICALLY RELATED INCOME AND BENEFITS FROM SOURCES OUTSIDE THE INSTITUTION. 6 *PROPOSAL 2015-18: USE OF AGENT-BASEBALL- PRIOR TO INITIAL FULL-TIME COLLEGIATE ENROLLMENT PERMITS A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE WHO IS DRAFTED BY A PROFESSIONAL TEAM PRIOR TO INITIAL FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT TO BE REPRESENTED BY AND AGENT OR ATTORNEY DURING CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS PERMITS A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE WHO IS DRAFTED BY A PROFESSIONAL TEAM PRIOR TO INITIAL FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT TO BE REPRESENTED BY AND AGENT OR ATTORNEY DURING CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS THE INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT RECEIVE BENEFITS (OTHER THAN REPRESENTATION) FROM AN AGENT OR ATTORNEY AND MUST PAY THE GOING RATE THE INDIVIDUAL MAY NOT RECEIVE BENEFITS (OTHER THAN REPRESENTATION) FROM AN AGENT OR ATTORNEY AND MUST PAY THE GOING RATE IF THE INDIVIDUAL DECIDES TO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT, THE AGREEMENT FOR REPRESENTATION WITH THE AGENT OR ATTORNEY MUST BE TERMINATED PRIOR TO FULL-TIME COLLEGIATE ENROLLMENT IF THE INDIVIDUAL DECIDES TO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT, THE AGREEMENT FOR REPRESENTATION WITH THE AGENT OR ATTORNEY MUST BE TERMINATED PRIOR TO FULL-TIME COLLEGIATE ENROLLMENT EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE

8 *PROPOSAL 2015-20: INSTITUTIONAL PRE- ENROLLMENT FEES ALLOWS INSTITUTIONS TO PAY PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES ALLOWS INSTITUTIONS TO PAY PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES INSTITUTIONAL POLICY: INSTITUTIONAL POLICY: I.NCAA BYLAWS ALLOW INSTITUTIONS TO WAIVE, PAY IN ADVANCE OR GUARANTEE PAYMENT OF INSTITUTIONAL PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES THAT HAVE SIGNED AN NLI, OFFER OF FINANCIAL AID OR OFFER OF ADMISSION, OR HAVE PAID A FINANCIAL DEPOSIT. PER UWM ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT POLICY THESE FEES SHALL ONLY BE PROVIDED TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES THAT HAVE SIGNED NLI’S OR OFFERS OF ATHLETICS AID. FURTHER, FOR PRE-ENROLLMENT FEES RELATED TO ITEMS COVERED BY ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP (I.E. HOUSING DEPOSIT) ONLY PROSPECTIVE STUDENT- ATHLETES WHOSE ATHLETIC AID COVERS THAT ITEM (I.E. ROOM AND BOARD) WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE THAT FEE PAID OR WAIVED BY THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT. THE FUNDS FOR ANY FEES BEING PAID FOR A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE WILL COME FROM THE SPECIFIC SPORTS BUDGET. 9 *PROPOSAL 2015-21: MEALS, ACCOMMODATIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT-UP TO FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AN INSTITUTION MAY PROVIDE MEALS, LODGING AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR UP TO FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS ACCOMPANYING A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE ON AN OFFICIAL VISIT AN INSTITUTION MAY PROVIDE MEALS, LODGING AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR UP TO FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS ACCOMPANYING A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE ON AN OFFICIAL VISIT CAN STILL PROVIDE UP TO 6 COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSIONS TO ATHLETIC EVENTS FOR NON- TRADITIONAL FAMILIES CAN STILL PROVIDE UP TO 6 COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSIONS TO ATHLETIC EVENTS FOR NON- TRADITIONAL FAMILIES EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE

10 PROPOSAL 2015-36: APPLICATION OF RECRUITING RULES AFTER COMMITMENT-COMMITMENT BEFORE THE NLI REGULAR SIGNING PERIOD IF A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE ONLY SIGNS AN OFFER OF ADMISSION AND/OR FINANCIAL AID PRIOR TO THE INITIAL REGULAR SIGNING DATE OF THE NLI, AN INSTITUTION CANNOT USE THE RECRUITING RULES EXCEPTION IN BYLAW 13.02.12.1 (LIFTING THE CONTACT/EVALUATION RESTRICTIONS) IF A PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE ONLY SIGNS AN OFFER OF ADMISSION AND/OR FINANCIAL AID PRIOR TO THE INITIAL REGULAR SIGNING DATE OF THE NLI, AN INSTITUTION CANNOT USE THE RECRUITING RULES EXCEPTION IN BYLAW 13.02.12.1 (LIFTING THE CONTACT/EVALUATION RESTRICTIONS) THUS THE CONTACT AND EVALUATION RESTRICTIONS WILL STILL APPLY TO THOSE PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES THUS THE CONTACT AND EVALUATION RESTRICTIONS WILL STILL APPLY TO THOSE PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETES EFFECTIVE: AUGUST 1, 2016 EFFECTIVE: AUGUST 1, 2016

11 PROPOSAL 2015-38: PERMISSION TO CONTACT- WRITTEN POLICIES REQUIRES AN INSTITUTION TO HAVE A WRITTEN POLICY RELATED TO THE PROCESS FOR A STUDENT-ATHLETE TO REQUEST PERMISSION TO CONTACT ANOTHER INSTITUTION REGARDING TRANSFER REQUIRES AN INSTITUTION TO HAVE A WRITTEN POLICY RELATED TO THE PROCESS FOR A STUDENT-ATHLETE TO REQUEST PERMISSION TO CONTACT ANOTHER INSTITUTION REGARDING TRANSFER THE POLICY MUST ALSO INCLUDE A DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES AND BENEFITS (I.E. ACADEMIC SUPPORT, ACCESS TO ATHLETIC FACILITIES) THAT WILL OR WILL NOT BE PROVIDED TO A STUDENT-ATHLETE WHO REQUESTS PERMISSION TO CONTACT OR INDICATES THEIR INTENTION TO TRANSFER THE POLICY MUST ALSO INCLUDE A DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES AND BENEFITS (I.E. 15 PROPOSAL 2015-42: CONTACT RESTRICTIONS AT A PSA’S EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION-BASKETBALL IN BASKETBALL, TO SPECIFY THAT A COACHING STAFF MEMBER MAY CONTACT A PSA AT A 2- YEAR COLLEGE THAT CONDUCTS CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AFTER 4 PM LOCAL TIME IN BASKETBALL, TO SPECIFY THAT A COACHING STAFF MEMBER MAY CONTACT A PSA AT A 2- YEAR COLLEGE THAT CONDUCTS CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE DAY AFTER 4 PM LOCAL TIME THE PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE SHALL NOT MISS CLASS FOR SUCH CONTACT THE PROSPECTIVE STUDENT-ATHLETE SHALL NOT MISS CLASS FOR SUCH CONTACT THIS WAS PERMISSIBLE VIA A BLANKET WAIVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS THIS WAS PERMISSIBLE VIA A BLANKET WAIVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE: IMMEDIATE
