Opening L – LeaderC – Congregation L: O Lord, open my lips, C: and my mouth will declare Your praise.

L: Make haste, O God, to deliver me; C: Make haste to help me, O Lord, Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

Hymn “From All That Dwell Below the Skies” (LSB 816)

From all that dwell below the skies Let the Creator’s praise arise; Alleluia, alleluia!

Let the Redeemer’s name be sung Through ev’ry land by ev’ry tongue. Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord; Eternal truth attends Thy Word. Alleluia, alleluia!

Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore Till suns shall rise and set no more. Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

All praise to God the Father be, All praise, eternal Son, to Thee. Alleluia, alleluia!

Whom with the Spirit we adore Forever and forevermore: Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

First Reading Isaiah 1:18-20 “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

L: This is the Word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God.

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 1:4-9 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge

– even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you – so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

L: This is the Word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God.

Third Reading John 17:20-26 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you,

that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me,

that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am,

to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.

I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

L: This is the Word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God.

Hymn “Blest Be the Tie that Binds” (LSB 649)

Blest be the tie that binds Our hearts in Christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds Is like to that above.

Before our Father’s throne We pour our ardent prayers; Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, Our comforts and our cares.

We share our mutual woes, Our mutual burdens bear, And often for each other flows The sympathizing tear.

When here our pathways part, We suffer bitter pain; Yet, one in Christ and one in heart, We hope to meet again.

From sorrow, toil, and pain, And sin we shall be free And perfect love and friendship reign Through all eternity.

Chapel Talk Life Together

Lord’s Prayer L: Taught by our Lord and trusting His promises, we are bold to pray: C: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Apostles’ Creed C: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Sprit,

born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The Third day He rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life + everlasting. Amen.

Collects “For a Parish School” (LSB Agenda, Page 276) L: Let us pray. L: Almighty God, our heavenly Father, since You have committed the care and

nurture of children to Your people, graciously enlighten those who teach and learn at this school that they may know the truth and trust in You all the days of their lives;

through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. C: Amen.

Collects “Baptismal Life, Morning” (LSB, Page 309) L: Faithful God, whose mercies are new to us every morning, we humbly pray that You would look upon us in mercy

and renew us by Your Holy Spirit. Keep safe our going out and our coming in, and let Your blessing remain with us throughout this day.

Preserve us in our Your righteousness, and grant us a portion in that eternal life which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. C: Amen.

Collects “For Home and Family” (LSB, Page 315) L: Visit, O Lord, the homes in which Your people dwell, and keep all harm and danger far from them.

Grant that we may dwell together in peace under the protection of Your holy angels, sharing eternally in Your blessings; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. C: Amen.

Collects “For the Mission of the Church” (LSB, Page 305) L: Almighty God, You have called Your church to witness that in Christ You have reconciled us to Yourself.

Grant that by Your Holy Spirit we may proclaim the Good News of Your salvation so that all who hear it may receive the gift of salvation; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. C: Amen.

Apostles’ Creed C: I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have kept me this night from all harm and danger;

and I pray that You would keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all our doings and life may please You.

For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your Holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.

Blessing L: The Lord bless us, defend us from all evil and bring us everlasting life. C: Amen.

Closing Hymn “Life Together, Life Forever” (Burkart, 2015)

Life together, life forever With the Father, Spirit, Son; Life together, life that never Ends because our Savior won

Our salvation through His dying And His rising from the grave. “Life together, now and ever!” Is the promise that God gave.

We were made for life together; God created us to be Living ever in the garden— One with God eternally.

But we chose to walk in darkness Loving self instead of God. Life together, lost forever; On sin’s lonely path we trod.

Then the LORD had mercy on us; Promised He would send the Son Who would bring us back together And with God again be one.

Born a child, dear Jesus entered This world torn apart by sin So that we could live together And as one new life begin.

We were made one in Christ Jesus Through baptismal water pure And the Word of God together, Ever in our LORD secure.

By the power of the Spirit We once died and rose again! Now together, as God’s children, One in Christ we shall remain.

Life together, life forever! Praise to God the Father sing. Life together, life forever! To the Son let praises ring.

Life together, life forever! To the Holy Spirit we Sing in joy for life together With the Holy Trinity!

Hymn “All Who Believe and Are Baptized” (LSB 601)

All who believe and are baptized Shall see the Lord’s salvation; Baptized into the death of Christ, They are a new creation.

Through Christ’s redemption they shall stand Among the glorious, heav’nly band Of ev’ry tribe and nation.

With one accord, O God, we pray: Grant us Your Holy Spirit. Help us in our infirmity Through Jesus’ blood and merit.

Grant us to grow in grace each day That by this sacrament we may Eternal life inherit.

Hymn “We Are Called to Stand Together” (LSB 828)

We are called to stand together With the saints of ages past,

With the patriarchs and prophets In the faith they once held fast;

Promises and hopes they treasured Now we find fulfilled at last!

Those whom Jesus called apostles Journeyed with Him side by side,

Heard His teaching, felt His power, Saw the way He lived and died;

Then the news of resurrection They delivered far and wide.

Through the intervening ages Round the world the Gospel spread:

Faithful heralds took the message, Guided where the Spirit led;

So the body grew in stature, Serving Christ, the living head.

Now in many tongues and cultures Songs of celebration ring;

Millions who confess our Savior Honor Him as Lord and King

And, for courage, grace and guidance Ev’ry day their prayers they bring.

To each coming Generation Tell the truth, persuade, explain,

Till the time when time is ended, Till the Savior comes again

Till the saints are all united Under Christ’s eternal reign!

Hymn “Let Children Hear the Mighty Deeds” (LSB 867)

Let children hear the mighty deeds Which God performed of old,

Which in our younger days we saw, And which our parents told.

So make to them His glories known, His works of pow’r and grace;

And we’ll convey His wonders down Through ev’ry rising race.

Our sons and daughters we shall tell And they again to theirs

That generations yet unborn May teach them to their heirs.

O teach them with all diligence The truths of God’s own Word,

To place in Him their confidence, To fear and trust their Lord,

To learn that in our God alone Their hope securely stands,

That they may never doubt His love But walk in His commands.
