List all schools you would like to attend so the information is sent to each college 4. Faster processing time 5. IRS Data Retrieval Tool goes live for 2014-15 February 1 st When should I apply for federal student aid? For the 2014-15 Award year began January 1 st, 2014, you can submit your FAFSA online NOW! TYPES OF FUNDING BOG FEE WAIVER Three ways to qualify for BOG Method A- Qualified applicants (or parents, if applicant is dependent) must be currently receiving TANF (Temporary Aid For Needy Families), SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or General Assistance/General Relief through the county Social Services Department. Method B- Qualified applicants do not exceed the income standards. Family Size - 2013 Income 1 - $16,335 2 - $22,065 3 - $27,795 For each additional family member add - $5,730 Method C- Qualified applicants have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, listing Folsom Lake College and have unmet financial need.FAFSA

TYPES OF FUNDING LOANS Federal Perkins Loan Program Available at participating schools to undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree students. Offered to students who demonstrate financial need. Available to students enrolled full-time or part-time. Repayments are made directly to your school. Direct Loan Program Direct Subsidized Loans- you must have financial need to receive a subsidized loan. Direct Unsubsidized Loans-financial need is not a requirement to obtain an unsubsidized loan. FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENT HIGHER-ONE ACCESS CARD Los Rios Community College District - OneCard Folsom Lake College will disburse financial aid funds with the assistance of HigherOne. Disbursements are delivered via the option selected when activating the LRCCD OneCard. For more information on the LRCCD card click hereclick here

FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENT HIGHER-ONE ACCESS CARD Options for disbursements 1. Easy Refund to the OneAccount (refunds available the same day LRCCD releases them). 2. Transfer to other bank (refunds available 2-3 business days). 3. Paper check (refunds available 5 -7 business days). If you are not satisfied with your selection, you may change it at any time.

Contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance to inquiries, completion of application or documents and acquiring knowledge of the process. 3. READ over all information received, whether it is email letters, required documents or workshop information. 4. Submit documents when they are requested. 5. Ask questions frequently for clarity and understanding. 6. Patience. The review process can take up to 4-6 weeks depending upon volume of files received.
