Downloading the VPN client Note: you only have to download the client one time Sign in Cougar Connect. This works best in Google Chrome. Click the Employee tab and click the ‘VPN Software for Windows’ in the Software Resources box in the upper right corner. At the bottom of the screen, click the arrow in the AnyConnect-wi…msi box. Then select Open.

Installing the VPN client Note: you only have to install the client one time. Click the Next> button at the Welcome screen.

Installing the VPN client cont’d Select the ‘I accept the terms in the License Agreement’ button on the End-User License Agreement screen and Click the Next> button.

Installing the VPN client cont’d Click the Yes button on the User Account Control screen.

Installing the VPN client cont’d When installation is complete, click the Finish button on the Completing the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Setup Wizard screen.

Installing the VPN client cont’d Find the newly added application Press the Windows or Start button in the bottom left corner click All Apps or All Programs. Find Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and right click. If Windows 10 you must Select More first, then select Pin to Taskbar Windows 7 or 8 Windows 10

Connecting the CSU via VPN Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client by pressing the icon on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen For first time use only, click the gear in the lower left corner.

Connecting the CSU via VPN cont’d Click the Preferences tab. Uncheck the block connections to untrusted servers box. Click the X in the upper right corner to close this box. You only have to perform this action the first time you use the client.

Connecting the CSU via VPN cont’d In the space provided, enter csuinterconnect.csu.edu or 209.175.72.4 and click the Connect button

Connecting the CSU via VPN cont’d If required, click the Connect Anyway button on the Security Warning screen.

Connecting the CSU via VPN cont’d Select 2-Staff_SSL_VPN_Access in the Group field. Enter your Active Directory username and password in their respective fields.

Connecting the CSU via VPN cont’d CONGRATULATIONS!! You are now connected to CSU. When your work is complete, please disconnect by pressing the Disconnect button.
