3 WHAT IS A MANGROVE FOREST? The tidal habitat comprised of mangrove trees and shrubs Located along coastlines where rainforests meet the ocean Only exist in mid-latitude range (close to the equator) in tropical areas

15 MORE INTERESTING FACTS 39.3 million acres of mangrove forests all over the world. More than 10.5 million acres, or 27% of mangrove forests are found in Southeast Asia. Contain some of the only trees and plants that can thrive in water with high salinity and soil with low oxygen About 80 different species of mangrove trees
