25 School Changes for 2014-15 Reminder School changes information needs to be sent to Vickie Baker by March 24, 2014. Changes include construction of new buildings, grade configuration changes, closures of old schools, consolidations, and address changes.

27 How To Log In http://sbac.portal.airast.org/field-test/ Click on TIDE button to manage student files. Click on TA Interface for testing. When buttons are blue they are active. If you have not received your link simply put in your username (your access email) and click on “Forgot Your Password.” If that still does not work please contact your CTC. He/She may need to add you in TIDE.

35 TIDE The following values will be uploaded and automatically set in TIDE: – American Sign Language, Closed Captions, Masking, Permissive Mode, Print on Demand, Streamlined Interface, Text-to-Speech, and along with Non-Embedded Designated Supports and Non-Embedded Accommodations. *These values in TIDE must be set locally:  Color Contrast (P28)  Print Size (P22)  Translation Language glossaries (P31)

36 Print Size (P22) TIDE Locally Set The default print size for all tests is 14 pt. The default font for ELA tests is Times New Roman. The default font for math tests is Verdana. No default zoom applied = 1X (default) – Level 1 = 1.5X – Level 2 = 1.75X – Level 3 = 2.5X – Level 4 = 3X

37 Color Contrast (P28) Locally Set By default, tests are presented with black text on a white background. Students who require a different combination of text and background should be assigned the appropriate setting. Color options: Reverse Contrast, Black on Rose, Medium Gray on Light Gray, Yellow on Blue

38 Translation (Glossary) TIDE Locally Selected ELA – English (default) Students can open a glossary to view terms presented on the test that may be unfamiliar to them. By design, all students can access the English glossary word list as a universal tool, unless this is disabled (“None”) or overridden by another language. – None (no glossary) MATH – If a combination glossary is selected (e.g., English and Arabic or English and Russian), then the student will have access to both. – If a single glossary is selected (e.g., Mandarin), then the student will only have access to that glossary. The English glossary will not be available.

41 State Accommodations Monitoring Policies West Virginia Policies: 2340, 2419, 2417 provide guidance for accommodations for students with IEP, 504 and LEP plans. All required district and state assessments must provide accommodations monitoring using the WVS.326 Process. Students should always receive the accommodations identified in their plans for other assessments. Individual accommodations data is archived in the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS). 41
