Core Group of trainers Two workshops in 2015 to train the trainers CWC officials and IIT Delhi Researchers were trained in SOURCE by eWater Team in February and March 2015 In September 2015 participants from 10 states comprising the four Basins namely, ◦Narmada – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat ◦Mahi – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan ◦Palar – Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka ◦Yamuna Upper – NCT, Haryana Participated in a workshop organized by IIT Delhi – CWC – eWater Some Participants of the Workshop for Training the trainers

7. Salient Features of the Workshop Held Prof A K Gosain (IIT Delhi), Dr Geoff Adams and Dr Carl Daamen (eWater) gave presentations on Modelling in general and Modelling using eWater SOURCE Hands on training was given to the participants by IIT Delhi Researchers (Jatin, Himanshu, Sankalp and Anupriya) and Dr R N Sankhua (CWC) The participants were provided a pen drive containing all the data which was used for generating Basin specific models There was general consensus on data sharing during the workshop for model building

8. Future Plans for Stakeholder Engagement Research Model for Capacity Building Engaging the Government officials and promoting them to undertake higher education at renowned institutions across the country to understand the latest technology in the field Understanding and inducting the latest technology in the Research arena into practice requires the proper one to one interaction between the professionals and researchers State funding of a “Network of excellence” for Modellers is essential for a unifying the countries water resources professionals

9. Inter Disciplinary Team for Capacity Building Using eWater SOURCE as a platform or adapting it to Indian conditions requires a collaborative effort among Programmers or Developers, hydrologists, government officials and all the stakeholders, The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, having specialists as researchers and Professors has been identified for doing the job Inter-disciplinary pupil from social sciences to induct the legal and social practices in India in Water Resources Modelling Existing Laws of Water Resources in India have a central role to play in the Modelling exercise, for example in Australia where entitlement of Water for groups of Water Users plays an important role in Modelling
